About Dr. Hoskins

Dentist Dr. Hoskins

An Asheville native, John Hoskins received his undergraduate degree in Biology from St. Lawrence University in 1977 and graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry in 1987. He opened his private care dental practice in the fall of 1987. He has been at the current East Chestnut location in the heart of Asheville since 1998.

While building and developing his practice in Asheville, Dr. Hoskins began an educational journey to broaden his experience and enhance his knowledge base in order to keep abreast of new technology in his field and continue to provide state-of-the art dental care to his patients. His credentials include completion of the Management Program as well as the Mastery Program at the Schuster Center in Scottsdale, Arizona. During his years of study, he refined a patient-centered treatment model that puts a premium on developing a relationship with patients based on honesty, integrity, and trust.

Dr. Hoskins is a fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, which requires 500 hours of continuing education and passing an exam. He has also completed educational continuums with the OBI Foundation of Bioesthetic Dentistry, which involves three years of course work and presentations of a total oral rejuvenation. There are about 300 dentists in the U.S. who have completed this curriculum. Dr. Hoskins has also taken continuums with the Kois Center and The Dawson Academy. During his career, Dr. Hoskins has completed more than 1,000 hours of continuing education.
